Following Christ involves a wholehearted commitment

08/17/2019

Jew or goyim, whenever you want to follow Christ you shall have to change and shall have to take on a certain attitude Christ worthy.

Becoming and being a Follower of Christ

Making a choice before God

Willing to follow Jeshua as the way to God

Al Jews have the guaranty they belong to the People of God. But this shall not guaranty that they all shall enter the Holy Land or the Kingdom of God.

Today the Elohim Hashem Jehovah invites not only Jews to come close to Him. Today His invitation to become children of Him is for all people.

Being and staying part of Israel

Bnei Yisroel - As chosen People going for Christ and for Israel

The Elohim Hashem Jehovah made a promise and He is a God of His Word keeping to His promises.
To His Chosen People He promised them a Land. From 1948 this land is growing and having become a reality. But we are still a long way to go.

The Land of Israel is perceived as the promised land, the acquisition of which involves a moral and religious problem and to the possession of which a moral condition applies.

The previous inhabitants of the Land lost their right to it because of their sins, and the Israelite tribes will continue to reside in the Land only if they will be just.  That means they have to follow the commandments given by their God and should have respect for the creatures of the Most High.

The Land of God, under the Abrahamic Covenant, should be a dwelling place for the Most High His People, meaning it is a place for people worthy to be God's Chosen People. As such even as the basis of the nation's material existence it symbolizes a religious destiny. It is the holy land, and only in it will the nation achieve a worthiness such that the Elohim Hashem Jehovah will dwell in its midst.

The Land of Israel is thus the land that was promised as a national homeland, the basis of the nation's economic weal and state power, but at the same time it symbolize the Torah's universal moral and religious meaning. These two faces of the Land were meant to he complementary, but in the course of the nation's history they were often in contention.

Those who live in the land are tempted to take part in the struggle between the powers as a way to aggrandize power for themselves. But the only way to live in the Land peacefully and to bring a vision of peace to the world is by refraining from participation in those pagan power struggles and by livĀing a life of justice and truth in accordance with the Torah. In a word, then, the nature and status of this land embodies the conditions of the covenant made between the nation and God as expressed in the Torah.

Full restoration of Israel to its lad with complete peace and security will require the second coming of the Messiah - immediately prior and scripturally requisite to that great eschatological event is foretold the spiritual regeneration of Jewish physical survivors of the Tribulation resulting in a new capacity to render Spirit-empowered obedience to God.

The connection with the Messiah

Jeshua the Kristos or Christ

The Most High Elohim has provided a prophet for the world to bring not only Jews but also goyim or gentiles close to Him. Though people should know that one has to be willing to be part of the flock, willing to follow the shepherd.

Everyone who wants to follow Jeshua is called to a whole-life commitment and change(Luke 9:57-62; 2 Peter 1:3-11)

The son of man, who is the son of David and son of Abraham, is the authorized one from God, all people should come to know. He is the one who shall shepherd God's People.

There goes out a call into the world to all people, not only Jews, not only to those living in the Holy Land, but to all people wherever they live. All are requested to answer the call to follow the sent one from God, the son of God, Jeshua the Christ (Jesus Christ).

Going where Jeshua leads them to

Jeshua being the way and the shepherd guiding his people

When there is a preparedness to follow him it's going to turn the lives of those followers in a different direction.

We can't follow unless we go where he leads. Real followers of Christ, be them called Christians or Jeshuaists, should be brothers and sisters in Christ, centering their lives on Christ, weathering the storms of life, going where the prophet leads or points them to, caring for others, and focusing on God's grace.

Following Jeshua brings us close to God.It is in Him we should trust. By His son and by Him we can find the safest way for our life.

God never promised that life would be easy, but he assures us that he is always in control and will always be with us. (Psalm 23; Mark 4:35-41; Acts 27:1, 14-26; 1 Peter 5:6-11)

You are required to become one

Being one with Christ like he is one with his heavenly Father

The Bible provides several action principles for building up what is called "the body of Christ".

The Body of Christ is a common, yet complex term used in the Christian faith. Some may initially think we are talking about the physical body of Christ, as in his human form on earth. But the term "Body of Christ" actually refers to the members of his community or ecclesia, commonly or often also called "church", throughout history.

All those who follow Jeshua should unite and assemble. When they have meetings or gatherings they shall form groups or ecclesiae.  All those who have accepted Jeshua or Jesus Christ as their personal Savior are then partakers of the Body of Christ.

Of that community of followers of Christ, Jeshua is the chief cornerstone.

The Body of Christ

The Body of Christ, like all bodies, is comprised of many parts. There are limbs, organs, and various members that, when left alone, are useless, but when assembled make up the entire body.

Together, all followers of Jeshua, the son of God, Christ or Messiah, should form one unit, though in this world of different opinions and different wants, shall be made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they have to form one body. (1 Corinthians 12:12-14 )

So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body - whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free - and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

This means each Jeshuaist or follower of Jeshua is an equal part of the body of Christ in which Jeshua is always the chief cornerstone, the builder of the community!

There is organization to the body of Christ, as described in Ephesians 1:22-23,

"And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way."

Willing to be a disciple

A disciple of rebbe Jeshua

To follow Jeshua requires the willingness to keep to his teachings. It demands a willingness to be his apprentice in learning to live life.

It first means that we have come to desire the life he offers. When you decide to follow him you should know him and recognize him for what he is, the sent one from God and the son of God.

Having determined that Jeshua is who he claims to be and that he is the source of the wisdom and knowledge that we are seeking, we should recognize him as the authorized one from God and should be happy to have him as our mediator between God.

In biblical accounts, Jeshua uses hunger and thirst to describe our spiritual longings and portrays himself as the bread of life and the living water. And for sure, he is our living water, because he is the way to God and his words are a stream of live giving lessons.

Following Jesus begins with faith or trust in him and his promises, as it would with any teacher.

Willingness to have Jeshua as our mediator before God

Second, following Jeshua means being with him, even when he is not any more on this earth.

Convinced that Jeshua gave himself as a ransom for us all, we also believe he was taken out of the dead by his heavenly Father and taken into heaven to be a mediator between God and man.

Having him now as our advocate, we should trust him and believe that he remains personally available to all of his followers - available to be known and experienced.

Experiencing Jeshua

We can experience his presence and hear his voice through practices like prayer, worship, and reading the Bible. These practices allow us to be intentionally with our teacher so that we may learn to follow him.

Having Jeshua his words presented in the Messianic Scriptures, we should be eager to learn from them.

Following Jeshua also means learning to obey him.

In Christendom we can find lots of people who do not follow the words of the one his name they use in their faithgroup. Many do not believe his words nor the words of his heavenly Father Who clearly said that Jeshua or Jesus is His son, though most of those calling themselves Christian have made Jesus into their god.

You can wonder what the point is of having an expert teacher if one does not believe what he says nor do what the teacher says.

We should always remember also that everyone who hears these words of rebbe Jeshua and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Jeshua said:

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.

When deciding to follow him you have to be truthful to him and believe his words and keep to the same God Jeshua, Jesus Christ, had, and not take any other gods.

Following the Scriptures like Jeshua did

For Jeshua the Word of God was his Ultimate Guide, and so it should also be for us

Jeshua very well knew the scrolls. He also knew very well how important that Word of God was and how he and others have to follow it.

As a follower of Jeshua, the Bible should be our ultimate Guide and treasure.

From those set-apart Scriptures we can learn about God, the sent ones from God, the chosen people of God, how man behaved, did things wrong but also how people gave themselves for God.

As a follower of Jeshua you have to commit yourself to listen to Jeshua his words, written out in the Messianic Scriptures or New Testament, and to listen to the Words of his heavenly Father, The Only One True God, Which can be found throughout all the assembled books of the Bible.

Committing yourself to listen to Jeshua and his heavenly Father, to obeying them, and to allowing them to shape our lives we shall be able to grow and to find the right path to the narrow gate to the Kingdom of God, the world of unending peace.
